From last month’s Silver Scream Spook Show at the Plaza Theatre.
An evil ringmaster named Corndoglioso attempts to lure Retch into
his evil carnival of evilness. He promises to become Retch’s father
figure (in a George Michael sort of way).

Just experimenting with some lighting in this one.
I had a hard time hiding the cord for the light that sits directly behind the model.
Solution: Add more cords!
Now you don’t know which cord is going to the light.
Problem solved.

Kids, please don’t try this at home.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography may be a somewhat of a novelty, but it’s still fun. And it’s still a great way to create an interesting shot in a difficult lighting situation. Take this shot for instance, where the sun is setting behind the building, and the front was mainly in shadows by that point. You want to catch the nice sky of the sunset, but you also do not want to set up a lot of lighting equipment in the road at a busy intersection. HDR is perfect for this kind of situation.
This shot was taken for the new East Atlanta Tattoo website, designed by our good friend Steve West at 68 Design.
These dinosaurs were native to Georgia over 65 million years ago, and now they are back.
The Fernbank Museum of Natural History has recently completed three life-sized sculptures of the mother and two younger dinos. The family stands atop a rock fountain in the reflection pond in front of the Museum.
This is an HDR shot using available light taken at sunset (not the dawn of time).
Chinita from Blast-Off Burlesque kickin’ it old school.
Be on the lookout for Blast-Off’s next show: Stimulus Package!
May 8th and 9th at East Atlanta Icehouse.

I had totally forgotten that I made this as a cover for one of my portfolios.
I think I might go back and actually add some of my photos on the wall.
I feel bad for these people that have to stare blankly at my name all day.
It’s been a while since I have posted anything up here. I’ve been in Orlando at the Create Chaos conference. I learned some great new Photoshop tricks from Colin Smith of Photoshop Cafe. I also got some new ideas about the direction I want to take my photography.
So on a unrelated note, here’s a shot of Sadie Hawkins modeling for a Drink & Draw at Mellow Mushroom in Decatur. Fun with ring flash!
