East Atlanta Tattoo

HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography may be a somewhat of a novelty, but it’s still fun.  And it’s still a great way to create an interesting shot in a difficult lighting situation.  Take this shot for instance, where the sun is setting behind the building, and the front was mainly in shadows by that point.  You want to catch the nice sky of the sunset, but you also do not want to set up a lot of lighting equipment in the road at a busy intersection.  HDR is perfect for this kind of situation.

This shot was taken for the new East Atlanta Tattoo website, designed by our good friend Steve West at 68 Design.

fm_df-070_hdr These dinosaurs were native to Georgia over 65 million years ago, and now they are back.

The Fernbank Museum of Natural History has recently completed three life-sized sculptures of the mother and two younger dinos.  The family stands atop a rock fountain in the reflection pond in front of the Museum.

This is an HDR shot using available light taken at sunset (not the dawn of time).
